Despite my ability to design your space so that it is as beautiful as possible, it is ultimately the space itself that speaks of your story, clearly shows your vision, and conveys your personality.

Setting up a guest room can be a satisfying experience. How about we learn how to make the moment blissful.

1. Offer a comfortable bed.

Your guests will remember the experience and cherish it if it makes them happy. Buying a new bed for your guests with a comfortable, firm mattress will work the magic. It doesn’t have to be overrated on the pricing. If your budget is fixed, you can place the mattress on a sofa bed or a box spring, provided the mattress is firm.

2. Upgrade the bedding

Spruce the guest bedroom with luxurious bed linens. A feathered mattress topper, for example, can be added with soft pillows and warm comforters or duvets. You can use satin pillowcases to make the guests comfortable and avoid wrinkling their faces. You can add extra elegant cotton sheets in case the weather is adverse. Extra bathing linens and towels are essential as a precautionary measure.

3. Offer a comfortable seat.

Some guests are ardent readers, while others prefer reading to brighten their day. Therefore, a comfortable seat with a study table is a necessity that cannot be ignored.

4. Provide enough space for their luggage

Clear the space to place a luggage rack or a small table to place their luggage. Provide detailed instructions to your guests if your house has a security system. If you also live in a gated community with swimming pools, walking parks, or parking regulations, you can acquaint them with the evacuation policies and other HOA guidelines.

5. Clear the decks

Your collection of dolls, unused clothes, or personal items may be adorable, but it will limit your guests. It is, therefore, necessary to clear them to provide more space. However, you can include a calendar, a clock, and a bible for your guest.

Dust the closet and provide hangers with an iron box and table. Or you can purchase an inexpensive over-the-door hook for your guests to hang their handbags, robe, coat, ties, and scarves. Do not forget to add extra spaces to store your items like socks, earrings, bangles, and watches. You can extend your warmth by adding a hairdryer, scissors, paper, pens, and tissues.

Comfort for your guests is crucial, and minute details like a television screen with a remote control near the bed to entertain them when they can’t sleep can escalate your hosting etiquettes and warmth.
